I am deeply passionate about leveraging technology to grow small businesses. Throughout my career, I have chosen roles that allow me to combine this passion with my strengths: working in cross-functional teams to build and scale products through operational excellence. Currently, I am the Director of Growth & Performance at Talabat, a Delivery Hero entity, and the largest delivery platform in MENA. Here, I lead a team of twenty-eight focused on growing our restaurant partners across the region through ad tech solutions, in-product marketing campaign management, menu optimization, and improved account management performance. I have the opportunity to work with a truly cross-functional team that bridges sales, product, and growth. It gives me great joy to lead a team that has helped grow partners while also helping grow Talabat into one of the most successful AdTech businesses in the international delivery space. I have also been fortunate to lead agile teams that have built account management products, transforming the organization’s account management teams and enhancing their productivity and performance. At Bewakoof, I led a thirty-member team that drove customer value across key business verticals: logistics, customer care, product, user experience design, and payment gateway integrations. When I joined, Bewakoof was a small business manufacturing and selling apparel primarily through its app. I led cross-functional teams to significantly grow customer frequency through product and user experience teams built on agile principles. Strategic initiatives such as daily in-product campaigns drove up sales volumes through significant user acquisition. Improved efficiencies in logistics and customer care reduced per unit costs, helping us reinvest in the organization’s profitable growth. I witnessed a 12x increase in sales volumes and saw how an organization can scale sustainably and profitably with minimal external funding. My career also includes successful roles at Careem, Miko, and Housing, where I delivered high-impact marketing campaigns and brand launches. My stint with Miko was transformational, immersing me in social media marketing, door-to-door and in-person sales, and business development, all on a shoestring budget while leading a team of external agencies. As a keen writer and musician since my time as a chemical engineering student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, I founded Stranger Fiction, a newsletter with over 1,000 subscribers where I write literary fiction, release music, and review albums.
