When I joined, Bewakoof was a small business manufacturing and selling apparel primarily through its app. I led cross-functional teams to significantly grow customer frequency through product and user experience teams built on agile principles. Strategic initiatives such as daily in-product campaigns drove up sales volumes through significant user acquisition. Improved efficiencies in logistics and customer care reduced per unit costs, helping us reinvest in the organization’s profitable growth. I witnessed a 12x increase in sales volumes and saw how an organization can scale sustainably and profitably with minimal external funding. My career also includes successful roles at Careem, Miko, and Housing, where I delivered high-impact marketing campaigns and brand launches. My stint with Miko was transformational, immersing me in social media marketing, door-to-door and in-person sales, and business development, all on a shoestring budget while leading a team of external agencies. As a keen writer and musician since my time as a chemical engineering student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, I founded Stranger Fiction, a newsletter with over 1,000 subscribers where I write literary fiction, release music, and review albums.
