About

I build products and businesses at the intersection of AI, IoT and messy, real-world operations. For the last 6+ years at WheelsEye, I’ve been a core operator–builder on India’s largest fleet telematics platform, working across GPS, GPS Pro, Diesel Sensors, Dashcams and a new AI-led product stack for field-heavy businesses. Before that, I spent ~4.5 years as AVP – Revenue & Pricing at FabHotels, where I helped scale a hotel network in a brutally competitive market, owning pricing, category management and revenue growth. Early stints at ZS and TCS, plus a Computer Science degree and a 730 GMAT (15 days prep), gave me the analytical foundation; startups gave me the scar tissue. What I’m good at: • 0→1→N product building in ambiguous spaces – from whiteboard to scaled rollouts • Sitting at the intersection of hardware, software and field ops (IoT devices, sensors, cameras, telematics) • Turning on-ground behaviour (drivers, fleet owners, sales teams) into product systems and incentives • Revenue + product thinking together – P&L, payback, unit economics, not just feature roadmaps • Working with founders and CXOs as an internal entrepreneur, not as a narrow-function manager What I care about next: • Vertical AI + workflow products for field sales, service, logistics, infra, etc. • IoT / edge + cloud products that move actual business outcomes, not just dashboards • India-scale problems where success means changing how an entire industry operates day-to-day I enjoy high-autonomy, high-accountability environments where the ask is: “Here’s a hard problem with real stakes. Go figure it out end-to-end.” Always open to thoughtful conversations with founders, operators and investors building in these spaces.

  • WheelsEye is India’s leading fleet telematics and logistics SaaS platform, serving tens of thousands of SME fleet owners. I operate as an internal founder across the core telematics stack and a new AI-led product portfolio for field-heavy businesses.
  • Key responsibilities & charters:
  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) for the telematics stack – GPS, GPS Pro, Diesel Sensors, Dashcams – from problem discovery with fleet operators to scaled rollouts.
  • Work end-to-end across hardware design, vendor/EMS management (China & India), device reliability, pricing and unit economics.
  • Build a new AI-powered product line on top of our telematics footprint, focused on improving how field teams sell, service and operate.
  • Design and refine collection + incentive systems for a 2,000+ strong Feet-on-Street sales team to improve payment discipline, revenue quality and median performance.
  • Partner with founders and CXOs on 0→1 bets, market selection and long-term product strategy.
  • In practice: I spend time with drivers, fleet owners, field sales, hardware vendors, data scientists and leadership, translating messy real-world needs into products that actually get used.

AVP - Revenue & Pricing

Promoted

Jul 2017Nov 2019 · 2 yrs 4 mos

  • I joined FabHotels in its early growth phase (pre–Series A) and helped scale the business through multiple funding rounds (Series B, B1), with end-to-end ownership of revenue, category P&L and central ops.
  • Scope & ownership
  • Led the pan-India Category function with full P&L ownership – setting up processes from scratch, building and leading the team, and working closely with founders and cross-functional leaders.
  • Owned the annual business plan for my charter, including forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and delivering on both revenue and profitability targets.
  • Worked at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, and operations to drive growth playbooks across cities and categories.
  • Key outcomes
  • Scaled operations from ~5K to 200K room-nights/month, helping drive the company from pre–Series A to Series B/B1 scale.
  • Grew the portfolio to a ₹30 Cr/month revenue run-rate, through a mix of pricing, category expansion and channel strategy.
  • Designed and implemented a Dynamic Pricing system that improved revenue by ~13% across both high- and low-demand periods.
  • Defined channel margin structures, partner payout models and consumer promotions, balancing growth with contribution margins.
  • Steered the company through a major platform shock (GoMMT delisting), rebuilding ~40% of lost revenue by aggressively growing direct channels to ~85% share.
  • Improved CSAT for both guests and hotel partners by setting up central operations and tightly closing feedback loops.
  • Built and scaled an Inside Sales engine, adding ~₹4 Cr in incremental monthly revenue.
  • Reduced hotel partner churn by ~15% MoM over 3 consecutive months through better engagement, economics and service.
  • In practice, this role was a blend of revenue science, product thinking, and on-ground operations—owning everything from spreadsheets and pricing algorithms to hotelier relationships and firefighting on peak-demand days.
