hello! I've been working at GE power india limited, durgapur as a production Quality Control Engineer. My key responsibility at this company is
1. inspection of boiler pressure parts like fit-up inspection, weld visual inspection, hydro test witness, final dimensional inspection etc.
2.Expertise in Boiler Components
(a) Pressure Parts:- Header, Critical Piping, Economizer coil, Superheater Coils, Re-heater Coils, Loose Tubes, Panels etc.
(b) Non-pressure Parts:- FGD Bottom plates, FGD Absorber Shell Plates, Condenser Pipes, Mill and other non-pressure parts.
3. Preparation of inspection reports such as FOT(First of Trial) reports of bend tubes, Fit-up Inspection Reports, Weld Visual Inspection Reports, Hydro Test Reports, Final Dimensional Reports according to client/project requirements.
4. Co-ordinate with project quality managers for customer inspection by raising call like BHEL, NTPC, HSB, IBR etc.
5. Familiar with Isometric and Orthographic drawing.
6.Raise NCR, discuss with stake holders for disposition and follow up upto closing of NCR.
7. Ensure that the work has been performed with Engineering Specifications, respective standards and monitor implementation of the same respectively.
8.knowledge of welding process like SMAW, GTAW, SAW etc, WPS, PQR, Materials like Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel, Mild Steel, SS etc, ASME SEC I, IIA, IIB, IIC, V, VIII Division 1, VIII Division 2, IX, IBR Codes etc.
9. Preparing FIRST PASS YIELD daily and monthly basis of the individual shops and supervisors.
