Abbas Merchant — Co-Founder

I am a 16 year old student, builder and aspiring entrepreneur based in Mumbai. Having lived and studied across India and the United States, I have experienced numerous transitions across cultures, environments and social settings throughout my life. During my time in New Jersey, I volunteered with a club dedicated to working with specially abled children, an experience that shaped much of my empathy. I currently have two products in active development, Grade AI and SocietyOS, both built around gaps I identified in my immediate surroundings. I build because the problems are in front of me, not because I am searching for something to work on. On the leadership front, I served as captain of my school house sports team and led them to a trophy after a six year drought. I have competed and placed in entrepreneurship and pitching competitions at the school, national and international level, including the Podar World College entrepreneurship camp, Aikyam Pitch Perfect and the International Computer Science Competition as a global finalist. Looking ahead, I aim to build products at the intersection of AI and real world infrastructure, eventually at a company scale. I am deeply excited about what AI makes possible in the next decade and am committed to being someone who actively builds that future.
