Aditya Tripathi — Software Engineer
Growing up, I would dismantle everything I could get my hands on, whether it be a toy, game , or gadget, to understand the functionality and have a failed attempt at putting it back together. Even the retractable pens kindled my curiosity to its peak. My dismantled toys were not enough to stop me, rather, I approached my next "experiment" with lessons from the failed ones to ensure success. I would attribute my greatest wins to my extremely inquisitive nature, which enables me to understand what exists and opportunities to reinvent and recreate. All these wins and losses have caused an everlasting hunger to learn as many new things as I can. For me, a day well spent is the day I get to learn new things. I started working as a DevOps Intern at One97 Communications (Paytm) in the last semester of my engineering. The exposure and learning provided by this opportunity were impeccable. I worked closely with my manager and developed an internal access management tool. I also got hands-on experience with technologies like Docker, Flask, Terraform, Git, Celery, and Jinja. Along with this, I also aided in the management of various AWS resources like EC2, ASG, LB, and VPC. In the span of 6 months, I grew exponentially, not only in terms of technical knowledge, but as a better individual too. After an amazing working and learning experience in Paytm, I joined as SDE-1 in Accelya, an Airline product company. Having a keen interest in Airlines and its operations, this was indeed an amazing opportunity for me. Here I worked on Offer and Order Engine, which has the responsibility of creating and managing air tickets. Working here actually gave me a real life experience of developing and maintaining software products from the dev perspective. I got exposure in C++, multithreaded architecture, high performance product development and Agile development. All my coworkers here were very knowledgeable and helpful. Working in this organization for 2 years not only evolved me into a better and more practical software engineer but also helped me evolve a problem solving and mature mindset. Currently I am working as an Engineer II in Rocket Softwares. I like being in a responsible position and managing situations as well as people. I was the President of the Literature Club at my college. I also briefly worked as an event manager at an event management company during college. I enjoy understanding the working dynamics of an individual and an organisation and combining them seamlessly for the best results.
