Driven by pencils, paper and crayons since my childhood, I have always like to take stories that most people consider normal and depict them in my own way. I enjoyed seeing my work on client's 'Favorite List' and this motivated me to keep up the good work. This lead me to further pursue an education in Applied Arts. While studying Applied Art, I got to explore other areas of art that fascinated me such as: sculpture, printmaking, painting, music, filmmaking, performance art, photography, digital projection, installations, public art etc. Practicing these areas helped me evolve in the world of Visual Communication and what exactly it meant and where all it could be applied. I don't feel I would have achieved this far if I had just stuck to my course. Besides this, being from Assam and then studying in and out, I have always been a part of a multicultural society, which I feel has helped me be able to express my thoughts and ideas not just verbally but also visually. These opportunities let me grow more and think of new and different ways to communicate the ideas that were in my mind. Lucky for me, I found a group of people who also shared my interest and passion to work on public art for social change. We did a couple of campaigns by picking current social issues. Sometimes the group itself and sometimes associated with other similar groups back in our native place, Assam. As I went along with the projects, I had joined National Institute of Design as a master's candidate in Visual Communication. Having pursued an Applied Arts course, I felt that Graphic Design would be the best choice so that I could learn more about the Design aspect of my interest. Currently, I apply my skills in industry, using design thinking to innovate and meet market needs while exploring untapped opportunities. This approach allows me to create impactful solutions and continue growing in my creative journey.
