About

Candi Castleberry is Amazon’s Vice President of Amazon eXperience & Upskilling (AXU) and a member of the company’s senior leadership team. She leads efforts to create experiences where employees, customers, partners, and communities can Grow, Thrive, and Connect, while designing scalable systems and pathways that build a future ready workforce across the world. Through her organizations work, Amazon remains committed to serving globally diverse customers and strengthens connections between Amazon and the communities it serves. Candi has used her two decades of experience to hone her business acumen and approach of moving organizations from bolted-on programs to built-in solutions, in the way they deliver products and services. At Amazon, the company builds its own systems which uniquely positions it to design technology, products, and programs that address unmet needs for customers and employees at scale—by-design. This strategy is operationalized through Together at Amazon (helping employees grow, thrive, and connect) and In This Together (creating pathways for customers, communities, and partners). As an author, former Carnegie Mellon University adjunct professor, and experienced leader, she developed successful DEI strategies and initiatives in technology, telecommunications, and healthcare including X (formerly Twitter), Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Xerox, Walgreens, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Candi is also the founder of the award-winning Dignity & Respect Campaign, which has helped organizations create environments of dignity and respect. She received an MBA from Pepperdine University, a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from UC Berkeley, and completed the Stanford University Executive Human Resources program.
