About

I'm a content marketer and data nerd who thinks too hard about compensation data and too often about chocolate chip cookies πŸ˜€ (Met Market in Seattle is undefeated) Currently: Founding marketer at Levels.fyi, a platform that crowdsources salary and compensation data to help people, especially in tech, understand what they're actually worth. I've been a one-person team covering everything from SQL analysis and media relations to newsletter production and building AI-powered content workflows because I literally wouldn't be able to get this all done without it. I use Claude, ChatGPT, and an OpenClaw buddy daily. My work lives at the intersection of data and storytelling. I dig into compensation databases, find the interesting angle, and turn it into something people actually want to read. That's gotten me and my work cited in the WSJ, Business Insider, and Fortune, and helped grow a LinkedIn audience of 13K+ people who care about tech, AI, and how work is changing. I value depth over output, and I honestly just enjoy thinking deeply. Wherever there's room to think carefully, write well, and build processes that make the work consistently good rather than just consistently fast, that's where I'll be. If you're building something at the intersection of AI, content, and data-driven storytelling, I'd love to hear about it. Email: hakeemshibly@gmail.com
