About

HEADS UP: I am always open to meeting new people through Linkedin BUT DO NOT JUST ASK TO CONNECT WITH ME BLINDLY. The best way to reach me directly is via email (Jeffrey@LaconiaCapitalGroup DOT com) or on Twitter (@jsilverman22). -------- With more than 20 years of experience building and investing in early-stage companies, Jeffrey has built his career around scaling tech ventures with intention. He was an early employee at DoubleClick, holding senior roles across the business, and later served as President of Integrated Color Solutions. For the past decade, Jeffrey has been building Laconia Capital Group as its co-founder and managing director, investing in enterprise SaaS, fintech, health tech, e-commerce, and martech. Laconia works closely with founders to refine business models, accelerate sales, and build smart capital strategies. He also advises AutoFi, sits on the board of Propensity, and stays close to several portfolio companies as an active observer, including Marpipe, WeStock, Trestle, and Tender. Mentorship is a big part of his approach—Jeffrey hosts open office hours to help founders and early operators navigate the early-stage grind. Beyond Laconia, he co-founded 3SE Holdings, focused on crypto and digital infrastructure, and the Proteus Collection, an art investment venture. He serves on the board of the New Orleans French Quarter Festival and co-founded Friends of the Lake, a grassroots environmental organization in Connecticut. A Bostonian at heart and a devoted Boston sports fan—despite 35+ years in NYC—Jeffrey is a proud father of three grown children, all of whom he’s pleased to report are Boston sports fans too.

  • Homer focuses on areas with large demands for delivered items, and then uses software to make the delivery fulfillment as efficient as possible. Through advanced order assignment methods, Homer provides delivery solutions that are both faster and cheaper than the current methods available ranging from FedEx to Amazon to Postmates.
  • Currently, Homer is focusing on the restaurant industry where Homer's technology and delivery infrastructure provide an outsourced delivery solution to restaurants. Food delivery occurs at an incredibly high frequency and volume in urban environments, and Homer's software allows for a centralized delivery infrastructure to support multiple merchants/restaurants in an area simultaneously. By not focusing on consumer ordering, and just specializing in rapid response delivery logistics, our fleet utilizations and response times are an order of magnitude better than other platforms or systems, and our delivery volumes are surging.

C3 metrics

Senior Advisor

Jan 2011Dec 2019 · 8 yrs 11 mos · Portsmouth, New Hampshire

  • C3 Metrics’ Intellectual Property and platform solves difficult problems in a changing market.
  • C3 Metrics’ IP is the first of its kind to detect viewable impressions thru cross-domain iframes.
  • The significance of this patent-pending technology (US#40927-701.101) is that previously ‘viewable impressions’ were limited to only the 20% of ads served in JavaScript, while ads served by cross-domain iFrames (80%), were undetectable. With 80% of ads missed, buyers and sellers were left with uncertainty for key metrics of reach, frequency, and ROI.
  • C3’s technology is akin to the Hubble telescope in online advertising: seeing what has never been seen before, with a never experienced 98%+ detection rate of viewable impressions. C3’s technology detects viewable impressions in all major browsers: Chrome, I.E., Firefox, Safari. No sampling, no exceptions, no guessing, no “projections”, no caveats, no asterisks: 98%+ detection.
  • Because C3’s platform was architected for real-time bidding + two-way communication…DSP’s, publishers, and networks can shrink their “unseen” display mix with C3’s intelligent platform to eliminate waste, and stop buying unseen inventory for which they’ll never get credit or with 3MS, never get paid.
  • For agencies and advertisers, C3 provides the paramount ingredient for online GRP’s to calculate truly accurate reach, frequency and Viewable Conversions™ .
  • C3’s technology is certified by Google Display, Yahoo!, AOL, and runs on 27+ DSP’s and networks. Headquartered in New York with offices in California and Boston, C3 Metrics is comprised of leading experts in the field of digital and television measurement from DoubleClick, eBay, PepsiCo, Yahoo! and Nielsen.
