  • We restructured the backend of a website with more than 3 million customers .We gathered requirements from the client, designed and implemented relevant solutions for them. Apart from application of the latest web technologies like python ,django ,tastypie, solr etc, I have a fair idea of risks associated while launching a website .

  • I was involved in the architecture team of Finacle, Infosys . My work was to incorporate latest technologies & enhance the quality of the existing product.
  • o Design and Develop Memory Leak Detection tool for C/C++.
  • This tool required overriding of system-calls (malloc, calloc, free etc) & user-defined functions, storing the information in a Hash-list and printing the detailed leak report at run-time with least effect on the performance of the actual process. The report depends on the amount of information present in the executable or shared objects(upto 10 levels of backtracking). The tool was made for OS type Hp ,Sun ,Aix separately.
  • o Heap Optimization for Caching.
  • DB statement caching lead to better performance but considerably increased the Heap-size. Some critical Algorithmic changes were done to improve both the performance & the Heap growth.

  • o DB layer
  • DB layer was built on linux for SQL Server 2012 (Denali on windows) using Data Direct Drivers and Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Drivers separately.I made finacle APIs for Prepared Statements (Scripting queries) as a security related enhancement. Apart from the development works done, many complex issues related to DB layer (Oracle & DB2) was resolved. I provided critical support for RCBC bank go-live for which I got the DReaM award.
  • o Random and Unique Session-ID generation
  • The problem of predictable & repetitive Session-IDs was resolved.
