Currently, I am working on the project "Bridging Gap: Championing Academia-Industry Alliance through an innovative digital platform" at the University of Tourism and Business Studies (UTB). This project has received a grant from Chemonics International #UKAID through the Research Innovation System for Africa Programme (RISA). Before joining UTB, I worked as a Senior Researcher on the "Evidence-Based Road Safety: An Automatic Road Traffic Crashes Data Management System (AUTORTC-DMS)" project, sponsored by the Rwandan National Council for Science and Technology. This collaboration involved the University of Rwanda and Kigali Collaborative Research Center (KCRC)-Rwanda. In addition to my academic work, I have gained experience as a Coding Educator at BrightChamps and I also had the opportunity to serve as a mentor for Programming for Data Scientists at the African Centre of Excellence in Data Science (ACE-DS) in Rwanda, where I trained students in Python and R. During my time at the African Leadership University (ALU), I worked as a Faculty Member of Computer Science, contributing my expertise for one year. At UTB, I served as a Lecturer and Programmer for nine years, delivering a competency-based curriculum and implementing a blended learning model for a diverse student body. Throughout my tenure, I led a dynamic team in developing a competency-based computer applications curriculum and successfully completed several IoT and Android projects with students. I am proud to have been part of the winning team in the Design-a-thon Climate App Hackathon organized by the Rwanda Meteorology Agency and sponsored by UNDP in 2018. In this project, I contributed as an Android Developer. Volunteering is also an important aspect of my journey. Recently in November 2024, I was privileged to train the staff of the University of Rwanda on Python programming. .In 2019, I had the privilege to volunteer for a coding boot camp aimed at kids between the ages of 10 and 15 in Kigali, Rwanda. Before joining UTB, I mentored a diverse student body at the Administrative Management College in Bangalore, India, helping them accomplish their research projects. Beyond academia, I have 1.5 years of experience as a Software Developer at Ignus Information System Pvt Ltd in India.
