Private Sector Engagement Manager for the Nordic and Baltic Region

Jun 2024Present · 1 yr 11 mos

  • Analysis, Strategy & Initiatives: As the first person to hold the position, I developed the private sector engagement strategy for WFP in the Nordic and Baltic regions which focuses on 3 overarching goals;
  • 1) to develop new and grow existing partnerships,
  • 2) to explore and develop innovative partnerships that create shared value and
  • 3) to develop WFP’s brand by positioning as the partner of choice.
  • As part of building WFP’s brand in the Nordics, I designed new creative initiatives with Supercell and Mikkeller that will spark engagement with the public, developing public awareness on global food insecurity and providing opportunities to leading brands and their customers to join WFP in the fight to end global hunger. I continue to explore new untapped sectors such as gaming that have huge disruptive potential.
  • Partnership Development & Coordination: Spearheaded engagements with Mikkeller, Supercell, Pandora, Finnpartnership, Smart City Sweden, Max Burgers, Melting Pot Foundation and S Group. Secured WFP’s first private sector partnership in Finland with Fortum. Managed partnerships and projects with Axfood, Ericsson and UN Global Pulse.
