Manail Ali — AI Researcher
Want to know what happens when you say yes to opportunities before you feel “ready”? You end up with more stories, lessons, and roles than you expected this early on. And you also get constantly told you’re “too mature for your age” (as if that’s a bad thing). I started working officially at 18, and now at 20, I’ve already worn more hats than I planned for this early in life. Teaching assistant, director of operations, projects manager, writer, course instructor, intern – you name it. Some of these roles were smooth, some were absolute chaos (the kind where you build a whole curriculum from scratch and still don’t get paid, hmph!). But every single one gave me exposure I wouldn’t trade. Right now, I’m a Teaching Assistant at atomcamp, where I get to support new learners in Data Science & AI, something I once studied as a student in the same bootcamp. Before that, I worked almost two years at The Inclusive AI (a Florida-based tech news and education company) where I managed operations, led projects, wrote, edited, and juggled more time zones than I care to count. Alongside that, I’m doing my BSc (Hons) Computing at the University of Suffolk, exploring everything from programming and web dev to AI, machine learning, NLP, and data analytics. I’ve completed bootcamps in Data Science & AI and Data Analytics, plus Google’s Project Management certification, and a Marketing Management course from University of California. And yes, I’m aiming for a PhD in AI, ML, or NLP one day. But what matters to me more than titles or certificates are curiosity, adaptability, and impact. I grew up between the buzzing urban life in Sharjah and the calm rural mountains around Chakwal, and those two worlds helped define how I see things. I don’t believe in staying boxed into one identity or one skill. I’ve learned to build, break, adapt, and rebuild. In code, in work, and in life. I don’t believe in collecting knowledge just to collect it because a book that is closed shut, regardless of how much valuable information it contains, is useless. I learn so I can apply it. I like turning messy data into clear stories, building systems that make education more inclusive, and asking the questions most people skip past. My journey, as you'll see, isn't all for doing “just one thing”. I love exploring enough to create something uniquely mine. So if you’re here scrolling through profiles: hi, I’m Mana(h)il. Sometimes the youngest in the room, always the quietest and the one asking too many questions, and never afraid to mix things up. Because fear will lead you nowhere.
