  • Led a large team of BAs in completing requirements for a new MI Origination system we built for National MI from scratch. With this, we will be completing the creation of an end to end origination and servicing platform for National MI. This project was scheduled and completed successfully in 7 months, in Agile methodology, 7 sprints of about 180 points each.
  • The origination platform, allows employees and external customers to complete activities like loan boarding, rate quotes, B2B integrations, non linear MI loan application creation, document integration, trailing doc mgmt., dashboard/reporting, underwriting, etc.
  • Primarily my role was to act as the Lead onsite coordinator for the large project, with tasks including coordination with offshore Dev and QA teams, onsite BA team, onsite Dev team, onsite QA team, clients and various vendors needed to ensure project pans out as planned.
  • Sprint planning – prioritizing the project backlogs into various sprints, and making sure all parties are moving ahead in sync.
  • Supervising the proceedings of the BA team to ensure all requirements are completed on time and made available to Dev/QA.
  • Working closely with clients for Acceptance Testing as well as Project demos to senior management.
  • Removing any road blocks onsite or offshore teams faced in the projects.

Tavant is building a servicing platform for National MI, which will allow employees to complete all servicing activities like payment processing, collecting remittances, making service transfers, updating loan closed dates, resolving payment discrepancies, generating coverage bills and statements etc from a single application. Very exciting! Project is following Agile methodology and has been a whirlwind experience! Averaging 150 story points per sprint, with every sprint being 3 weeks, and being able to deliver requirement packets on time so far for every sprint has been very fulfilling and challenging, but I'm game!!
