• I was responsible for designing a data pipeline(PySpark) on AWS using S3 buckets as data store and running elastic map-reduce (EMR) jobs to process the data, on-demand and insert the cleaned data into MongoDB. The initial version used a Hadoop data store. Elastic search was then used to improve response time of frequently used queries and to support full text search. The entire infrastructure was built using AWS Cloud Formation templates for easier maintenence. Continuous Integration using Gitlab CI was implemented to automatically deploy the web application on to Amazon Elastic BeanStalk.

• Worked as a part of Business Intelligence group on various projects involving research, development and maintenance. Started as a web developer and quickly got involved in design, full-stack development and deployment of various kinds of applications. Was also responsible for troubleshooting migrations and deployments at customer sites. A few notable contributions:
• Insights on big data sets – Implemented various clustering algorithms to find out interesting data points (outliers) in data sets, using Spark in Java. The results were informative and gave users a starting point to build visualizations.
• Developer for SAP Lumira (https://cloud.saplumira.com/landing-page.jsp) - Involved in the User Interface development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, SAP UI5 in the initial stage and progressively worked as a Java developer for data cleansing and preprocessing features.
• Java developer for Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) platform - Worked as a lead developer for Promotion Management module, which is a system to transport objects (reports and universes) across various deployments and various versions of SAP BOE. I solved several customer issues and gave quick solutions to unblock upgrades.
• Performance of queries on different NoSQL and graph databases– Designed a framework in Java to measure query performance and compare results for various databases (including MongoDB, Arrango DB and Neo4J) which helped us compare new databases and profile quickly with minimal implementation effort.
• Pi-Projector- An IOT application on raspberry pi, which enables laptops and mobile devices to project without using cables. This idea was selected in the SAP annual Hackathon and a small pilot was tried by SAP IT.
