Machine Learning Intern

A remote machine learning internship experience in which a team of three-person had to develop a model using Reinforcement Learning to optimize the drilling time of well. We used Volve Oil Field data released by Equinor to get an intuition about the parameters which can be useful in the optimization of drilling time. This project and approach are completely novel as no research implementation paper is available. We studied the Mudlog Data, then we switched to Trajectory data. There we studied parameters such as MD, TVD, Inclination, Azimuth, North and East Coordinates. We did certain calculations to solve data and combine it for the optimization purpose. After the calculations, we plotted the good path which helped us to know the deviation in drill bit from its actual path. We have worked with different languages and tools such as Matlab, Excel and Python.
We have also used python libraries such as matplotlib and seaborn to plot graphs to analyze the well data.
