About

In my hometown, higher education wasn’t an option for girls. The farthest we could dream was becoming a teacher at a local school. But thanks to my parent’s relentless support, I broke every norm. At 17, I left for Kota to prepare for the IIT entrance - an unthinkable leap for a girl in my community. Fast forward, I made it to IIT Delhi, becoming the first girl from my town to do so. After a couple of years at Flipkart, I knew I wanted to make a positive impact. At 24, I co-founded CodeYoung with Shailendra Dhakad, with the dream of building an EdTech platform where young minds could learn coding and bring their ideas to life. Because I believe coding is the foundation for becoming an informed decision-maker in any field. Starting with a small team, today Codeyoung is a movement to empower the next generation of creators and thinkers. 2. Conceptualized lecture series of eminent visually impaired personalities like George Abrahim (founding chairman of world blind cricket council), Tiffany Brar( founder of Jyotimgamya Foundation) having 1000 audience and 200 blind kids from NGOs like National Association for Blind.

NSS IIT Delhi is the IIT Delhi chapter of the National Service Scheme, institutionalized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India. Our sole aim is to motivate students at IITD to indulge in nation building activities through various events and projects which are aimed towards the benefit of people in and around IIT Delhi. NSS IITD has a volunteer base of around 2000 students belonging to various disciplines and degrees of IIT Delhi. We work on a diverse range of social issues including blood donation, teaching, environmental issues, etc. We also collaborate with several NGO’s in and around IIT Delhi on working on these issues.
NSS Team is a group of motivated students working for generating meaningful volunteering opportunities from residents of the campus. NSS Team is responsible to design, implement and manage volunteering based projects in different domains like education, environment, animal care, health and carry out activities like Blood Donation Campus, Organ Donation Drives, Collection Drives, Lecture events etc.
Major Outcomes : -
1. Led a team of 40 volunteers to teach 60 slum children. Designed a curriculum for teaching.
2. Managed a volunteering program to Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre involving 100+ volunteers.
3. Organised Blood Donation Camps securing 120+ units of donation each time, Blanket Distribution Drives involving 50 volunteers and distributing 200+ blankets.
4. Co-organised Sports for All in collaboration with Sportech'16 at IIT Delhi for underprivileged kids from NSS teaching projects involving 100 kids with the help of 100+ volunteers.
5. Co-organised a one day social fest named Kaizen, IITD for Society. The fest had a footfall of more than 1500, stalls by 30+ NGOs and 10+ student bodies, 3 Case Study competitions, A panel discussion event having leaders in the social sector as speakers discussing 'missing bits in higher education'.
