Developed a Python-based "Andon cord" tool designed to automate the management of domain operations across multiple AWS Availability Zones (AZs). This tool was integrated seamlessly with the SDC portal, allowing for real-time monitoring and control over the availability of these zones.
The system operates by dynamically adjusting AZ availability based on various operational conditions, which are handled through API triggers and updates to JSON configuration files. By leveraging this automated approach, the tool helps maintain high availability and ensures the resilience of domain operations without requiring manual intervention.
The use of AWS services provided the necessary infrastructure for handling multi-region deployments, while Python served as the backbone for scripting automation logic. JSON files were utilized for configuration management, making the system flexible and easily modifiable. Integration with the SDC Portal API allowed for smooth interaction with the existing domain management interfaces, ensuring that all zone modifications were carried out in a controlled and standardized manner.
