My role was to prepare and test cellulose acetate membranes with a combination of additives and solvents like DMF and NMP. Further, CA and Graphene oxide membranes were also prepared and cast to check their water content, porosity, molecular weight cut-off, and, tensile strength.
Protein rejection study, morphology study using a scanning electron microscope, rheology study, thermo gravimetric analysis, and, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were also carried. The effect of annealing temperature, evaporation time, and concentration of CA on permeance were studied too.
