About

Company website: http://www.team-prime.com Therapy/coaching: https://www.team-prime.com/therapy/ I've been fascinated by technology and programming since I was a child. My career in technology started as a programmer in the first dotcom boom, then I was drawn to the people side of technology companies. For the last 15 years I've been a C-level strategic adviser to companies growing their technologist capacity, and helping lovely people with their careers. 20 years of team building means I know great people on the look out for roles, and I enjoy building teams that knit well together. I'm rather proud that I helped build the team that was described by Tim O’Reilly, O’Reilly Media as “the best digital team working in government anywhere in the world” in 2012. I've also thrown a fair few industry parties such as Chinwag Big Summer 2007 (3000 people, all partying for free), about 10 #techsmas's (http://www.techsmas.com), and a few other things.. I also put on a conference called PrimeConf (http://www.primeconf.com/talks) in 2014 to highlight the amazing diversity in our sector. I've been a judge for the BIMA Awards, The Big Chip Awards, and TeenTech. I talk in schools about careers in digital technology, and spend a lot of time and a percentage of my company's profits doing charity work. My passions lie in: - people diversity and inclusion in organisations - fixing problems/delivering solutions that involve people and teams - strategic thinking from board level to juniors - connecting people - engaging technology audiences - technology staff recruitment and retention Just a few I've had the pleasure of working with (in no particular order): * HM Government * Apple * The Guardian * FutureLearn (part of the Open University) * Nokia * MySociety * SIR TIM BERNERS-LEE (how awesome is that?) * ITV * NASA * Stripe * TechCrunch * The National Archives * Jimmy Wales * Lily Cole * Agency.com * London Children's Museum * and lots of other lovely people and companies, see more below Please see my recommendations for my clients' descriptions of my work.
