About

I help companies hire the right people for the right jobs. I've led internal recruitment teams, headhunted top talent, and crafted many successful recruitment advertising campaigns. I've mentored people with zero recruitment experience and helped them grow into fully autonomous billing consultants in their own right. When not recruiting, I'm writing for video games (Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu), Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I'm a keen swordfighter and martial artist, and I also have a dog and two cats who are unashamedly my world. My idea of a perfect weekend is gathering friends for a LAN party or D&D campaign with some live steel sword fighting after. I will never buy a service that involves outsourcing my own skillset, which includes lead gen, communication and sales. If you're selling something AI-related, I'm a waste of time prospect-wise. Write finder headhunting

Founder / Managing Director

May 2021Present · 5 yrs · United Kingdom

  • I know exactly what it's like on the hiring side because I used to lead internal recruitment teams. Agencies would hard sell to me, claiming to be different but never explaining how. That always frustrated me, so I've made sure not to do the same.
  • Clients say we're different because:
  • We focus on getting it right, to save you time and pain. You'll get fewer CVs from us than other agencies but they're all people you'd want to interview. This comes from a mix of headhunting, social sourcing, and involvement in game dev communities. We're selective about who we submit, aiming for your "ideal" criteria rather than just matching keywords.
  • We focus on matching the right people, to the right jobs - our idea of the person to send is the kind of "dream hire" examples hiring managers give in briefings. Not all will want to move, so we get to know your studio well enough to sell your roles effectively.
  • We appeal to what motivates candidates personally, increasing application accuracy and advert view-to-apply ratios - leading to better hires.
  • We're trustworthy. We've worked in an embedded RPO for a major European AAA studio as they expanded to 150+ head with our help, as well as helping an indie grow from 32 to 55 employees. Currently we're fulfilling an RPO for a hugely successful large indie studio in the UK.
  • Our entire model is built on saving time and pain for everyone involved in the recruitment process.
  • And it works! Just check out my recommendations below, or the rest of our team who are listed on our company page.
  • If you're looking for a better way to find the right people for your vacancies start by emailing me on tim@writefinder.com or dropping me a DM

Hire write talent

Copywriter

May 2019Jul 2020 · 1 yr 2 mos · London Area, United Kingdom

  • The recruitment industry is heavily reliant on advertising and communication. So, we couldn't understand why few writers and marketers aimed their services specifically at recruiters.
  • Hire Write Talent was set up to plug that gap. We're recruiters. And writers. And more (we have many interests, swords, sausage rolls, etc.) We're here to raise the industry standard when it comes to all things content.
  • Important point - you don't have to be an agency recruiter to use our service. If you're spending money with a job board and feel like that money could be going further, you should speak to me.
