• ○ Architected an extensive framework for primitive image processing operations including filtering, Fourier and wavelet transformations, vector mathematics, regression and statistics.
• ○ Developed an object-oriented interface, encapsulating Intel’s performance primitives from image and signal processing libraries.
• Product - OnGuard, a computer aided detection system for early lung cancer detection.
• ○ Achieved 40% reduction in the number of false positives during initial ROI screening by introducing an improved image enhancement technique – average radial gradient.
• ○ Developed a pattern classification system based on grayscale and geometric features for automatic rejection of non-anatomical objects.
• Product – DeltaView, software that monitors pathological changes in a patient by registering and subsequently subtracting a recent chest exam with a prior chest exam.
• ○ Interacted with the external consultants and customers to generate system design and specifications. Additionally, during the beta studies, customer feedback was actively sought and utilized for product improvement.
• ○ Developed a robust method for rigid alignment of temporal pair of images using normalized mutual information.
• ○ Developed a method for sampling non-uniform grid points based on prominent landmarks. These grid points were used for establishing correspondence between images.
• ○ Designed a classification and scoring method for automatic selection of best available prior.

• ○ Developed a tool for automatic performance assessment and review of the registration results.
