• Shashi's key contributions in Electronic Research Limited (a subsidiary of the BPL group) included 1) Conceptualization & implementation of an Activity Based Costing system (ABC). The ABC system was a powerful decision making tool that enabled the management to take well informed decisions.
• 2) A key member of the task force that implemented the Kanban or the supply chain management system in the company. The Kanban system on the other hand helped the company become lean - helped the company to mature its inventory management system into a just-in-time inventory management system and reduce the cycle times across
• Shashi is probably the youngest cost accountant to have conceptualised, implemented and sustained a full-fledged Activity Based Costing system for an organization

• Tatra Udyog is a manufacturer of heavy duty off-road trucks that was set up in Hosur Industrial Area.
• Shashi was primarily involved in setting up the Finance & Accounts function in this startup joint venture between Tatra.a.s of Czech Republic and Vectra Limited of Mumbai. His key impact areas were raising and managing funds from banks for the capital & working capital requirements, setting up and streamlining the accounts and finance function.
