Mar 2012Feb 2013 · 11 mos · London Area, United Kingdom

  • Recruited to support rebranding into a Hilton Hotel I took on the role of an HR Manager. I was responsible for the entire life cycle of an employee from recruitment to retirement. I held complete responsibility for all in-house recruitment, learning and development and record keeping in line with Hilton Worldwide standards. Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with the UK labour law was my primary function. I supported departmental managers to manage performance including disciplinaries and grievances. I worked alongside charitable British organisations to assist with the employment of locals.
  • Heading the HR function of a team going through major organisational change I implemented a lot of initiatives to boost the morale of the workforce - few being monthly team meetings, forming cultural committees and team building activities. Having proper employee guidelines along with strict adherence to policies secured the associates in a changing environment leading to reduced turnover.
  • Working for a central London luxury hotel I occasionally worked as a duty manager to understand the operations and guests' needs. I was also responsible for community initiatives, payroll budgeting and succession planning. Incorporating our succession plans and guests needs into the training structure helped me create a successful L&D plan.
  • Also, I successfully completed the Management Development Programme which is a leadership course offered by Crimson Academy.
