Life is full of opportunities, even in moments when your career feels like a downward spiral. After 14 years at Google, I've experienced how fast this industry moves. It can be thrilling, but also confusing, overwhelming, even cruel. I’ve seen brilliant people burned out, pushed aside, or made to feel like they don’t belong. I’ve lived some of that myself. I've built and led UX teams across Cloud, Ads, YouTube, and Play. I've published over 30 articles and delivered over 150 talks globally. I am an active contributor to the UX community and lecture at both the University of Basel and the University of Applied Sciences in Olten. In 2025, I co-founded Astrolabium with Nina Weber. We turned our decades of experience at Google and in UX leadership into a coaching and training space for UXers who want to grow with integrity, not pressure. We believe in honest mentorship, thoughtful strategy, and careers built on values, not fear. Today, I support UX professionals of all levels who are facing change - layoffs, toxic work environments, career crossroads. I help them move forward with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. Sometimes that means sharpening a portfolio. Sometimes it means redefining a life. In all cases, it means helping them prepare for what’s next - with clarity, self-trust, and momentum. And yes, work is part of that, but it's not the only piece - nor the most important one to live a life worth living.
