I owned the design and integration of the First Party Misuse (FPM) detection and reporting framework for the VISA network, enabling proactive identification of high-risk transactions and dispute prevention. This project significantly enhanced dispute accuracy and helped reduce representment losses. This project has impact of more than $100M worth of savings.
At Google, I build scalable backend systems powering dispute management, chargeback automation, and fraud mitigation for Google Play, YouTube, and Ads. My work focuses on improving dispute accuracy, automation, and operational efficiency across global payment flows.
I led the design and launch of the Unified Fraud Template for MIT and CIT payments, streamlining evidence collection and reducing manual reviews by 30%+. I also built and backfilled the Analytics table — a unified analytics source integrating multiple systems(10+ tables) — improving visibility and consistency across billions of transactions. That has impact of saving 20+ Hours/Week of analytics person.
Additionally, I implemented major reliability improvements — fixing mutation sequencing issues, sweeper request retries, and data consistency gaps — bringing down failure rates by over 75%. These changes improved real-time accuracy for millions of payments processed through Google’s systems.
