About

I am the founder of TagZ, one of the most loved better-for-you D2C GenZ snacks brands in India. I started my professional career nearly 20 years ago with some of the finest brands such as Coca Cola and Nokia. I spent the first half of my career with these fabulous brands learning about sales, marketing, brands, supply chain and most importantly about people and culture. The latter part of my career has been all about building from scratch - Startups ! At Shotang, I built India's first tech-enabled retail distribution platform and scaled the business to a Series A+ stage across 7 cities, 30k retailers and multiple categories. At Healthifyme, I played a key role in scaling the B2B business and building the marketplace and insurance partnerships from scratch. At TagZ, I built the business and the brand from scratch and scaled it across the country and 5 international markets, raised capital, built the team and omnichannel GTM - before it got acquired. TagZ is one of the most loved Shark Tank brands and backed by celebrities such as Shikhar Dhawan and Rannvijay. Its pioneering products such as Popped Potato Chips, Hemp Cookiez, Date MeltZ, Chocolate CigarZ, Corn Bhujia and the others have deeply entrenched consumer love. Through these immersive professional experiences I have had the opportunity to live and work nearly in all states of India and hence developed deep consumer understanding. It has been a pleasure building teams from scratch and more importantly creating strong cultural fabrics that build organisations. Business is afterall all about people! On the personal side, I love spending time in the mountains - I have completed 8 Himalayan summits and counting. My deepest friendships are thanks to my love for golf and motorbiking is much more than just my zen. I am deeply passionate about leading and sharing an active life outdoors! Looking ahead, I am super excited about the future of consumer brands in the fastest growing consumption-led economy - India ! New channels such as q-commerce and AI led developments in consumer-tech just make the future of this market just that much more exciting.
