• ● Effect of grain size and packet size on the toughness of martensitic steel (Under the supervision of Dr. Gadadhar Sahoo @ Research & Development Centre for Iron & Steel, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (Govt of India) Ranchi.
• ● A low carbon martensitic hot rolled steel plate of Rourkela steel plant (Odisha) was used for the investigation of the effect of grain size and packet size on impact toughness.
• ● The grain size and packet size were characterized using the optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy.
• ● The martensitic steel samples were quenched at different temperatures and tempered at 300C. Further, the change in impact toughness was measured using changes in morphology.

• ● This aims to beneficiate the low-grade iron ore slimes to remove the gangue minerals and enhancing their Fe grade which is imperative from the point of view of mineral conservation, and environmental protection.
• ● Value addition to Iron ore slimes of a mining operation has been investigated using physical beneficiation treatment like Magnetic Separation, Spiral separation and Muffle furnace reduction.
• ● The target of producing a high-grade iron ore concentrate from the low-grade iron ore has been achieved via Microwave Processing in which the reduction rate was found to be very rapid under all conditions employed.
• ● The effects of different process are studied using the integrated instrumental techniques such as XRD,
• SEM-EDS, XRF, ICP-MS, VSM, TGA & DTA.
