Vivek is a second-time entrepreneur and has been a seasoned operator with 17 years of experience across industries, of which the recent 10 years have been in consumer internet businesses in CXO roles. Before founding ‘Emversity’, he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Unacademy (a $3.4 Billion Edtech backed by Temasek, SoftBank, Sequoia, General Atlantic, and Facebook), where he led Online and Offline Education, Upskilling, and K12, verticals. He built and led a team of 8,000 people including 3,000 educators. Before Unacademy, Vivek was a senior executive at OYO where he led their luxury hotel SBU (assets owned by Mountania, a 50:50 JV company between OYO and SoftBank). Vivek's first venture started in 2014 was 'Buildzar', India's first construction-tech platform that raised $5 mn in seed funding.
