  • Learned to set-up a Private Ltd. company process from scratch, registering on MCA website, concepts like EBITA, Profitability, Cash flow & expense management etc.
  • Our core interest was technology and building a solution was not an option with the limited capital and time we had. So, we were selling solutions in lighting and home automation by partnering with US-based Control4, Schneider Electric India. Learned the Programming & implementations in C-Bus & Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI)
  • Designed our company website using wix.com and set up SEO for local region search. All the learning came from Youtube tutorials, Blogs, or using Google.
  • Connected with IT managers, product managers, and CXO's in commercial project execution companies like Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, etc.
  • There was no sales, marketing degree, or entrepreneurial experience, so failure was the best teacher.
  • Successfully won & executed the project for India's largest financial broking company as the first project and later a project in Rajkot.
  • We learned that the solutions we offered as an integrated platform would soon be obsolete by standalone automation in long run with depleting margins & high competition, so mutually decided to exit the company with the profits in hand and the learnings, we will cherish forever.
  • With the emergence of IoT, since we weren't a product company, so the painful decision proved to be the right one in the end.
