I didn’t set out to become a founder in mental health. My early career was in banking as a Probationary Officer at SBI and later managing teams at RBS and BNP Paribas. I thought my path was stable and clear. But life had other plans. In 2015, I took a career break. In 2016, I had my daughter. I was a new mother, a caregiver, and also a wife to a man who had been on anti-psychotics since the age of 13. In the span of just 1.5 years of marriage, I was thrown into postpartum struggles, the chaos of caregiving without any real understanding of mental health, and the crumbling of a relationship under the weight of illness. What followed were 5.5 years of court cases, single motherhood, and the brutal reality of navigating stigma, broken systems, and survival. That pain became my teacher. I realised how little we actually measure in mental health, how diagnosis is mostly trial-and-error, how families like mine are left unsupported, and how even clinicians lack the tools they need. I shadowed psychiatrists for three years to learn the system from the inside, and in 2022, I founded MindSmith, with a simple mission: to make brain health measurable. Today, MindSmith is pioneering a new category with the Brain Health Profile (BHP), a 25-domain diagnostic with 98.34% accuracy along with Life Lanes therapeutic programs and SKYE AI, a culturally trained AI companion. We’ve validated with 2,000+ cases and are now scaling into enterprises and hospitals. But my vision goes beyond just managing symptoms. I believe the future of mental health lies in genetics and precision medicine where we don’t just “manage” disorders but actually cure them at the root. That’s the world I’m building towards: where no person, no parent, no family has to go through what I did... unsupported, unseen, and in the dark.
