• In charge of Ridge Capital Holding asset management division with offices in Dubai and Cairo focusing on promoting Islamic Finance products in Mena and GCC.

•  Responsible for the turnaround of a privately help solar PV German manufacturing company worth USD300m into become a profit-generating company. Involved into all areas of managing the asset from increasing sales, interviewing C-level staff, budgeting and financial planning, cost cutting, supplier negotiations, liaising with banks on the corporate financing side. Daily liaising with the CFO of this company on all financial matters from business plan to weekly financial reporting to ensure that company is on the right tracks to achieve its KPIs
•  Actively manage one of the largest investee companies worth EUR120m based in India. Involved in the financial, legal negotiations; working hand-in-hand with the senior management of the investee companies in increasing sales and revenue for the company to attain the best risk/return position

• Dealing with investment on a Global level from Latin America to Africa to the Balkans with funds varying from US$3-500 million dollars. Sourcing deals in Brazil and executive invetments in these markets. Have been involved in major IPOs of Visa Inc, the largest electronic payment processort; BM&F, the largest derivative exchange trading platform in Latin America. Analysed and followed up in establishing a green-house construction company based in Dubai. Proposed and invested in a African-based fund covering 53 countries in the African continent. Visited and met with senior management at CEO levels, political representatives and governmental officials as part of my due diligence work in discovering new opportunities in new markets to invest. Have a in-depth knowledge of company analysis and valuations of various sectors from energy to retail as a result of meeting over 200+ companies around the world on one-one levels.

Worked on a quant model together with my team members in enhancing returns and minimising risks of our portofolio. Analysing major economic data to enable better daily trading. Analysing different sectors from oil & gas to utilities to alternatives within the energy to track the best performers within the energy market. Utilised Bloomberg and Reuters for analysing stocks. Presentations to the investment committee on new investment ideas within the energy market. Built a database on fundamentals and financial ratios on quarterly basis for 40 stocks held in our portfolio. Rigorously followed the global energy markets daily updating on market and corporate news.

• Worked in the Emerging Markets desk covering all listed companies across GEM running around US$1bn as a team with the main focus on EMEA, LATAM and GCC, following a rigorous bottom-up analysis focusing on quality and low valuation companies. Due Diligence trips to Central Europe, South Africa, Egypt, China, Singapore, Bahrain and Kuwait where I researched, analysed and wrote investment reports on the companies and markets. Brought effective investment ideas to the team– three of the stocks I recommended in 2004 were some of the best stock performers of the portofolio. Participated in one-to-one meetings with senior management in the rank of CFO, CEO of over 200 companies from small to- big cap companies in these markets. Up-to-date information on GEM developments and prepared weekly, monthly and quarterly updates on the fund for our clients and attended clients meetings and fund-raising events. Liased/worked with the Fixed Income team for macroeconomic data on these markets.
