• I co-founded Majikal—a location-based event search platform and mobile application—by teaming up with four like-minded professionals across different geographies. What began as a hobby project to build an online calendar evolved into a comprehensive service that aggregates events from Eventbrite, Meetup, and Facebook, enabling users to search, check-in, and engage socially with events. As the technical architect, I not only led the product strategy but also drove the end-to-end development, transitioning our initial Spring-Hibernate/MySQL and jQuery solution into a robust Scala-MongoDB backend with an AngularJS web interface.
• I played a pivotal role in designing our multi-threaded feed importer—later transformed into a Spark application integrated with Solr for enhanced search functionality—and integrating mobile analytics via the Flurry SDK. Collaborating closely with our team, I helped design screen mock-ups and oversaw the iOS app development for both iPad and iPhone. I also established essential development processes like continuous integration, separate development and production environments, and baseline acceptability testing to streamline workflows and ensure high-quality product delivery.

• I led the software architecture, design, and implementation for AEM Forms, a cross-device form-filling solution tailored for enterprise and government clients. As the principal technical architect, I was instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and building Adobe LiveCycle Forms and Output across multiple full cycle releases (7 through 11), and I played an active role in evolving the XFA Specification—the standard for XML-based forms. My work extended to several major Acrobat/Reader releases, where I addressed vulnerabilities with zero-day fixes and delivered critical hot fixes in the realm of XFA/PDF forms.
• Beyond development, I spearheaded customer engagement by creating and maintaining one of Adobe's most popular blogs (http://blogs.adobe.com/foxes), facilitating direct communication with customers and partners. I also designed the documentation strategy for AEM Forms, personally authoring much of the content and motivating the engineering team to actively contribute. This initiative set a new benchmark at Adobe, marking the first time the engineering team took such an active role in documentation efforts, thereby enhancing overall product quality and customer support.

This work involved developing custom data structures optimized for low-memory, high-performance smart device environments, where traditional libraries like STL were deemed too heavy.
• Additionally, I worked on on-demand email-attachment downloads by manipulating IMAP commands, which significantly improved battery efficiency—achieving a 20-45% saving in battery life. I further extended the email client’s capabilities by implementing comprehensive IMAP command support and internationalizing the application to support multibyte languages such as Japanese and Chinese, thereby broadening its appeal and usability across diverse markets.
