About

Welcome to my corner of LinkedIn, where I turn ideas into stories and products! As a Senior Product Manager at American Express, I’ve spent my days with stakeholder management juggling design, analytics, and customer requests to create the most seamless fintech onboarding and payment experience across the globe. I am good at creating vision & strategy and finding ways to bring it to life. I have created the product vision and got the biggest funding across Amex to build it.

I have handled customer-facing fintech onboarding and backend risk data platforms where you have to increase customers and prevent fraud at the same time. Believe me, I have amazing stories of people trying to commit fraud! I am trying to become an expert in different areas of fintech and product management and as of now have experienced Onboarding, KYC, Fraud and Risk modeling, Payments, Customer Empathy, Credit cards, road mapping, prioritization, product vision & strategy, B2B products, platform products and other things that LinkedIn's SEO likes I ideated and delivered features that generated revenue of $200 million across the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Hong Kong, France, and Singapore. So, if you’re looking for a product manager who can turn complex challenges into delightful solutions while keeping a sense of humor intact, let’s connect! Who knows, we might just create the next big thing in fintech together—preferably over a cup of coffee.

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Created a product vision for credit card and merchant onboarding in the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Convinced 50+ stakeholders, created a backlog, and got $50 million in funding for implementation - Felt like a combination of working in big tech and startup simultaneously.
  • Feature Implementation: Increased Amex card base by 15% in the UK with a no-credit-score-impact eligibility checker and added $20M in revenue - Customers reward you when you listen to them and their problems.
  • Product performance: Utilized Google Analytics, Content Square, and SQL for data analysis and launched an open banking solution in the US and Europe approving 300,000 additional applicants and 15,000 additional merchants in a year - Imagine all these people were just unable to get a card because they did not have a traditional income source (Fintechs really do need to enhance their underwriting)
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigated 50+ stakeholders like a pro. Delivered 10+ features in a year while staying GDPR and 3D Secure 2.0 compliant. Automated KYC for 70% of customers because paperwork is so last century.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Enhanced the ML credit risk and fraud model with new data sources, boosting approval rates by 2% and fraud prevention by 5% - Fraudsters do come up with new ways so why not update our models?
  • UX design: Built end-to-end UI navigation with the design team for credit card recommender, eligibility checker, EKYC, open baking, upselling, and pre-approval journey on progressive web app and mobile app - Customer empathy is the key to launching the right features.
  • Product Benchmarking: Analyzed 10+ credit card providers in the UK and came up with opportunity areas for Amex on metrics like application performance, popularity in genZ and millennials, and income of people. This helped in building a backlog of 30+ ideas - Not so surprising but targeting genZ vs millennials is completely different.

  • Ownership: Led development of end-to-end data pipeline and dashboards for a large US-based retailer’s e-commerce business - If you torture data enough, it will confess stuff. That works.
  • Payment feature implementation: Performed competitor analysis and introduced Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) feature integrated at checkout, which boosted customer adoption by 20%, with a 40% increase in transaction volume for high-ticket purchases - Especially genZ loved this feature
  • Roadmapping: Conducted market research to identify trends in digital payments, including the QR code payments, and tokenization influencing the product roadmap, and created a step-by-step implementation plan that got prioritized by the executive committee - Payment is an amazing space where the scope is tremendous

  • Implementation: Led the development of a B2B network platform that enabled real-time internet connectivity for enterprise clients, reducing operational costs by 50% & generating over $2 million in revenue within the first year acquiring 3 new customers - The key to success in B2B is understanding the problems of clients and figuring out how they use your product. Believe me, its not as easy as it sounds.
  • Technical Collaboration: Collaborated with engineering and architecture teams to integrate advanced API solutions for third-party platforms, and handled the migration of products from on-site servers to Amazon AWS cloud infrastructure - I know we all had that question as to why we were still on on-premise servers.
  • Subscription feature: Implemented tokenization and encryption technologies to enhance payment security, ensuring PCI-DSS compliance and reducing the risk of data breaches, which saved clients an estimated $1.5M annually in potential fraud losses
