About

After graduating with a computer science degree in 2004 my career consisted of working for companies of various size as a mid-tier developer. The primary technologies included Ruby, PHP and Java. Each of which required a complement of JavaScript knowledge. With the advancement from company to company as well as the progress of standardized browsers in the marketplace the need for solid highly technical front end development became more prevalent. This progression has required a need for a well defined method of writing reusable and maintainable JavaScript just as would be necessary in the mid-tier. My career has also followed this curve from being hired in my previous position as a 50/50 mid-tier/front-end developer to being hired primarily as a UX developer. Within both positions my skills have been highly sought after to communicate and institute standard development practices for existing and incoming developers. Specialties: Established and maintain best practices for writing unobtrusive modularized JavaScript on both the client and the server. Selecting and consuming JavaScript Frameworks/Libraries Maintaining Fuel UX control library Researching and applying latest browsers technologies to UX development (HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
