Programs Manager

Oct 2019Apr 2020 · 6 mos

  • In my second year, I was promoted to the Colorado Programs Manager, and had the honor of recruiting the very first cohort of teacher-volunteer Global Glimpse Leaders and partner schools, and launching our inaugural year of programming across the state. It was my role to train our leaders, manage their student recruitment plans, support their Global Glimpse experience as a partner, run parent sessions and assist in a myriad of other ways from liaising with the students and parents to making and trouble-shooting travel arrangements, to helping facilitate pre-trip workshops as we prepare our students, or Glimpsers, for their international travel experiences in the summertime.
  • In this program-centric role, I also continued all responsibilities I had as School Partnership Specialist, but for Colorado only. I consulted and supported my colleagues across the organization on sales and business development-related tasks and queries throughout my entire tenure at Global Glimpse.

Sales & Outreach Specialist

  • I was brought on as the School Partnership Specialist, which was internally known as the Sales and Operations Specialist, to fortify our school partners in existing regions and to lay the foundation to expand and launch to Colorado. In my first year, I grew our school partnerships by 26%, which exceeded my goal of 20%, while also setting the organization up to launch Colorado with its expected revenue via school partners across the socioeconomic spectrum. I achieved these goals by staying organized, executing a strong marketing strategy including drip campaigns across several different outlets, consistent follow up, market research, data analysis and most importantly, personal touch.

Audley travel

Account Executive - UK & Ireland

Mar 2017Jul 2018 · 1 yr 4 mos · Boston, Massachusetts

  • As a founding member of the UK & Ireland team at Audley Travel, the journey began before even the training. I spent 5+ weeks in the UK and Ireland researching product offerings and sampling them, inspecting properties, meeting hotel managers, guides, drivers and other service providers to ensure quality and become familiar with all components of the client's experience while traveling. Other responsibilities relating to the launch of the department included facing and overcoming unforeseen obstacles, negotiating with our partners and clients, supporting colleagues and training new hires, development of key documents and resources for efficiency gains, copy-writing and uploading product, and a tremendous amount of teamwork.
  • As a Country Specialist, I wore many hats with a constant focus on sales, service and consultation, always keeping the client's satisfaction and retention in mind. I was involved in a continual and extensive training program that incorporated each of the facets previously mentioned, and I consistently met and exceeded targets. The department, as a whole, was a top-performer within the company.
  • Daily sales-related responsibilities included nurturing a robust pipeline while handling incoming new business and promoting repeat travelers and recommendations. Oftentimes I would source my own leads through previous clients, which converted at a high rate. 1-3 daily consultations with new clients looking to visit the British Isles which then led to the design and construction of a unique travel package completely tailored to the clients wants and needs.
  • Service-related responsibilities involved account management of pre-departure clients. These tasks included working with partners overseas to ensure a smooth experience for the client, booking flights through Galileo, preparing traveler documents, and inbound and outbound communication with the client supporting them throughout the reservation life, which could range from several months to 3 years.

  • As the Midwest Regional Tour Consultant in the Groups Department, I held the largest of all territories on the team both in pipeline volume and area. This was a very challenging 360 role of territory and pipeline management to account management and coaching. I was tasked with making 40+ outbound calls a day to convert leads, but also to fully manage a pipeline of 300+ field recruiters whose job it was, with my mentorship, to recruit groups to travel with them. Within a year of managing this territory I was able to grow my groups by 12%, resulting in 31% overall growth in the territory. My territory was also one with some of the best reviews/testimonials and service survey ratings from my clients.
