• I decided to take a chance by conducting my own research. I have a long-standing interest in health and obesity, and was also reading a lot about the concepts of mortality salience, which is the unconscious awareness of one's impending death. The culmination of these two passions was where I got my first unique research design looking into obesity PSAs and how they affect one’s mortality salience. This project gave me the chance to:
• Critique previous experiments through literature reviews
• Learn how to collect my own data through an online system, MechanicalTurk
• Run my own statistical analysis
• Find significance and prepare for future projects!
