I am a business leader with 13 years of demonstrated success in fashion and food retail across online and offline channels. Over time, I have found my passion in scaling consumer internet businesses. I specialize in Business Strategy, P&L management and People leadership with cross functional ownership of business, particularly in retail and e-commerce. Through various X to 10X business scaling experiences, I have developed a thorough understanding of interplay between demand and supply. I have learnt the fine balance of strategy and execution to drive outcomes across (a) Growth, (b) Profitability, (c) Customer experience, (d) Financial health and (e) Long-term differentiation. Through experiences in leading large teams, I have built a people-first outlook yet a data & product mindset to drive business operations, decisions and processes. At Swiggy, I worked as the Business head for the Private Brands with the primary goal of revenue management, growth and planning. I was also responsible for driving the P&L for 5+ brands, 130+ cloud kitchens across 13 cities working closely with Operations, Culinary, Menu Excellence and marketing teams. Beyond the business impact across 4X GMV growth (10Cr to 40 Cr a month) through expansion, demand generation and conversion revamp, I am particularly proud of the 50+ corporate and regional business team that we built from scratch to drive our growth. We also built alternate categories and sales channels to hit 2 Cr+ incremental GMV in just 6 months. At Myntra, I worked as the Business Head for Men’s Apparels, driving 17% of Myntra’s business (INR 2000 Cr GMV). Over 5 years, I drove 6X growth, 15pp market share improvement and 18pp Ebitda improvement for the master category while improving the customer experience significantly. At an earlier stage (Pre-MBA), I have spent 2 years with Allen Solly as a Retail planner and 1.5 years with UCB. Across the two roles, I have pursued Order management, warehouse supervision, vendor management on one side and Buying & Planning, Inventory management, pricing & promotions on the other side. I have built tech-led tools that have helped reduce working capital costs & reduce reporting TATs. During my education, presided student clubs both at ISB (Retail Club) and at NIFT (Environment & Social Service Club) that helped me connect with and lead people at a far younger stage. The Torchbearer award at ISB and the Gold Medal for “Best Outgoing Student” at NIFT are testaments to my ability to lead people without formal authority.

  • As the category grew larger, so did my portfolio size along with a larger responsibility of driving the Catrgory Strategy and vision focusing more on medium to long term differentiation for a sustained growth, profitability and customer stickiness.
  • Together with the team, I scaled market place business from 10% to 30%, developed our own APIs for the purpose of integration with top partners such as Aditya Birla Group and Arvind Apparels etc. We also opened the distributor model to ensure a higher quantity and quality of supply. This played a pivotal role in our assortment availability, margin profile and to our ability to scale without adding financial risk.
  • We also cracked strategic partnerships with French Connection, Tommy Hilfiger and UCB to either get exclusive access to global ranges or to get a long term exclusive arrangement which mutually benefited both the organizations.
  • I am also proud to have evangelized the idea of Specially Made Units (SMUs) as a key pillar of our strategy which eventually contributed to 10% of our business with better margins and higher customer stickiness.
