Pawani Khandelwal — Founder
Founder of Aatm Nirbhar, a venture on a mission to make mobility and high-income opportunities accessible to women across India, including its remotest regions. A rider myself, I’ve seen how mobility can transform a woman’s life, enabling access to education, work, and healthcare, and unlocking her full potential. A graduate in Business Administration from Symbiosis International University, Pune (2017), I’ve also been part of the Young Leaders Programme at the Indian School of Business, and pursued entrepreneurship studies at the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University, Beijing. An Ashoka Changemakers alum and a TEDx speaker, I’ve had the privilege of receiving several recognitions and representing India globally on issues that matter most to me: gender, mobility, and entrepreneurship. Alongside Aatm Nirbhar, I have worked with a range of national and international organizations to design programs that empower women. And on rainy days, you’ll probably find me on my bike, weaving through the streets of Mathura and Vrindavan.
