About

I run the Building Better Games Podcast and run a leadership and production training and coaching business targeted at video game dev companies. I also provide co-active coaching and leadership mentoring one on one. My desire is for individuals and organizations to work together more successfully and with less pain, because I believe we as human beings are designed to be in relationships and need those relationships to change ourselves and the world. I have and am continuing to develop a skillset to enable that vision. I am an independent co-active coach and trainer for individuals and businesses. I am fascinated by and tend to focus on the delivery, culture, and leadership side of creating effective teams. I've learned (through studying, observing, doing, and failing) how to apply an agile mindset effectively into technical and creative spaces, as well as in scaled organizations. If you asked me my motto, I'd probably answer, "Always learning". It is aspirational for me, and I fail at it often. Keeps me humble! When at Riot I worked as a leader of cross-functional content and engineering teams before moving into a leadership role within the discipline of Production. Before Riot, I spent some time as an Army Officer learning about leadership through observing and those around me applying those leadership lessons. Lots of growth, lots of failure, lots of success. I enjoy conversations about leadership, game dev, particularly games, European football, philosophy, worldview, rock climbing, and more recently, kids (got my own now - game changer!). Most importantly, I'm a Christian seeking to live out my beliefs and values through loving and helping others. If you feel similarly to me, want to talk to me about something, or believe I can help you or your organization, don't hesitate to connect and/or send me a message!
