  • Drove the launch of BharatQR by leading and coordinating the product and policy efforts working with banks, the Government of India, the Reserve Bank of India, and partner networks at the peak of demonetization. Working with banks and the Indian Banks Association to scale deployment and adoption of digital payments.
  • Authored the report, “Accelerating the growth of digital payments in India: A five-year outlook”, which influenced the Watal Committee report findings. The recommendations were accepted by Government of India and became effective policy. This effort entailed working closely with banks, and intellectuals to secure inputs and seek alignment on the research findings.
  • Represented Visa as a stakeholder within the payment ecosystem in digital transformation efforts in India through advocacy, partnership and product initiatives with banks, Reserve Bank of India, banks, Government of India, and industry associations. For example, working with National Highways Authority of India and banks to develop a prepaid contactless solution for toll payments. Actively collaborated with various metro authorities to introduce interoperable contactless payment for transit.
  • Drove business efforts with government agencies and banks to promote digital payment programs that make commercial sense. Led the effort to transform Vizag into India's first less-cash city. This effort is the first of its kind in Asia, and the blueprint for this it has been documented as a report on the making of less-cash cities, the Vizag experience to be released in 2018. The findings of this work were discussed at the WEF in Davos, 2018.
  • Active contributor to industry forums and committees on digital payments like the Payments Council of India, and Indian Banks Association
