Total work experience is 31 years (1994-2025) I worked in Wipro in various capacities during my 13-year tenure. I started as a post-sales service engineer at Wipro Infotech, Mumbai after my BE (Electronics and Telecom - Gold Medallist Bombay University). After working there for 4 years handling various clients, I moved to Wipro Global R&D in Bangalore to be in the software space. I was assigned to the Telecom vertical. I moved up from a software developer to team lead, handling some offshore project modules of a very large European telecom company. I was also deputed to Belgium for six months for the project. While in Wipro, I completed my MBA from IIM Bangalore, after which I moved into the role of Knowledge Management evangelist for Wipro’s Retail vertical, where I was responsible for setting up the knowledge-sharing practices and website for the vertical. I was in this role for around three years before trying my hand at pre-sales activities for the Retail vertical for a couple of years. By this time, I had developed a keen interest in understanding human behaviour. To pursue this further, I left Wipro in 2007, for academics. I completed a full-time Ph.D. at IIMB in Organizational Behaviour and subsequently joined IIM Udaipur as one of the early founding faculty members, in 2012. At IIMU, I was involved in the teaching of organizational behaviour subjects, handling the department and being on various committees which were tasked with setting up of policies for the fledgling institution. I was part of the team that set the vision for the institute. My dissertation data was later published in the Academy of Management Journal, one of the highest ranking journals globally in the business category. After six years at IIMU I moved to TAPMI, Manipal, in 2018. I joined as the founding chair of their new MBA program in HRM. I was instrumental in setting the program's direction with several innovations - extended internships of up to 12-14 weeks, Industry mentors for students, Live projects from industry and others. I was also instrumental in setting up the Advisory Board of the program with important names from the industry in the HR space. I later took on the role of the department chair, handling the workload allocations and faculty hiring needs. I am now a scholar practitioner. I would like to help bring my deep thinking and research mindset to solve problems in industry, especially those dealing with people and processes. I aspire to continue to share my knowledge with students in classrooms and with academicians through research publications.
