I wanted to be Iron Man before I knew what “strategy” meant. In 2012, watching Marvel's Tony Stark build awesome things made me chase engineering. But I got sick before JEE & missed IIT, landed in Metallurgy at NIT Raipur and unexpectedly learnt how real systems, factories and people actually work. At Vedanta (Hindustan Zinc), I worked on operational and sustainability problems through Lean Six Sigma. It created real impact via process optimisation and KPI-driven quality systems leading to multi-crore cost savings. That’s also where I realised something important: I enjoyed solving problems but I wanted to shape where organisations invest, scale and create impact. Being a part of Government machinery gave me a plausible option. So I took a calculated detour. I prepared for UPSC during COVID, cleared prelims and wrote mains. I didn’t make the final list but it fundamentally rewired how I think about institutions, policy and large-scale change. With a clear pivot to business strategy carrying a worldwide view knowledge from CSE prep & anthropology(CSE Optional) I wrote CAT’22 & with just 45 days of prep, I converted calls from IIM B(BA), C, L,K, I & FMS . Chose IIM Calcutta aka ‘Campus of 7 lakes’ for my MBA. At IIM C, I landed SIP at Accenture Strategy where I worked on digital transformation, business continuity frameworks, change management and BI analytics dashboards for complex order to cash cycle of US chemical giant. I also consulted on marketing analytics and growth strategy projects across two startups as live projects. Today, I’m part of the Airtel Young Leader Program & I work at the intersection of strategy, GTM, analytics and frontline execution because I believe "Strategy for a 42°C market cannot be made in a 24°C boardroom". Longer term, I aspire to build and scale my own venture. I’m always happy to connect with founders & operators who are building in India.
