About

Product and marketing leader with 15+ years shipping products people love. I started as an active developer and author, writing best-selling programming books (O'Reilly, Pearson) while ideating and launching four 1.0 products at Adobe. My philosophy: marketing is an extension of product. I'm obsessed with delighting customers and relentlessly growing them. In 2015, I pioneered Adobe's first Product Growth team with Adobe Spark, then scaled the model across Creative Cloud in 2017, driving today millions in incremental revenue through product-led growth. From 2021-2023, I led Marketing & Growth at GitHub, working with 100M+ developers on the world's AI-powered software platform. I reinvigorated the self-serve business through PLG and repositioned GitHub's story from a feature-list to an integrated AI platform, anchored on customer value and business outcomes. In 2023-2024, I served as Chief Growth and later Chief Product Officer at Picsart, the all-in-one creative platform serving 150M+ creators worldwide with AI-powered photo, video, and design tools. In 2025, I built the AI Agency at TheBrief.ai. I am now building something new. When I'm not in front of a screen, you'll find me perfecting croissant lamination or curating 80s soul music for my online community, Boogie Wax (@boogiewax). What drives me: • Voice of the customer • Data-driven experimentation • Product sense • Soul music • Perfect pastry layers

Sr. Product Manager - Gaming - (Graphics, LCVM, Adobe Scout)

Nov 2011Feb 2013 · 1 yr 3 mos

  • ● Led the Gaming strategy for Adobe, defined the offering required to provide a competitive desktop and mobile gaming offering to developers as part of Adobe Creative Cloud. To remove friction, I created the Adobe Gaming SDK, the toolbox for creating cross-platform desktop and mobile games on top of the Flash Platform.
  • ● Led the Adobe Scout effort to provide a word class profiling tool as part of Adobe Creative Cloud for the Flash Platform. Scout allows developers to track performance issues in their games and fix them. Scout was quoted by the community as one of the best product ever released by Adobe.
  • ● I created Starling (2D framework for game development (gamua.com/starling) in a very startup way, by pitching the vision to VPs and getting budget to be finally showcased during the Adobe Max 2012 keynote. Starling was included in the Gaming SDK, and made Stage3D programming accessible to the worldwide Flash/AIR community in no time.
  • ● Starling is powering today games like Ruby Blast or Angry Birds from Rovio, and is the defacto standard to build fast and compelling games with Flash/AIR on desktop and mobile.
  • ● To ensure best adoption for Starling amongst game developers, I wrote a book published by O'Reilly called "Introducing Starling". This book is still today considered a reference and was a key piece for the worldwide developers community wanting to leverage Starling on mobile and desktop.

Product Manager - Adobe Flash Runtime (Flash Player, Adobe AIR)

Jul 2010Nov 2011 · 1 yr 4 mos

  • ● Working on the most widely distributed plugin in the industry (Flash Player), I worked as a Flash Runtime product manager focused on graphics and LCVM (Language, Compiler and Virtual Machine) and transformed the Flash Platform into the console of the web by ideating key innovations like Stage3D (low-level GPU accelerated APIS) and bringing 3D accelerated games to 98% of computers connected to the Internet.
  • ● The Stage3D technology is powering games today like Ruby Blast, FarmVille 2, CityVille 2 from Zynga, or Angry Birds from Rovio, delighting millions of active daily users.
  • ● Stage3D was showcased at Adobe Max 2011, by Kevin Lynch (Adobe CTO at that time).
  • ● Initiated and lead the JDI (Just do it) initiative to implement small and highly requested features by customers, traditionally moved to the backlog and never implemented. With some creativity, I was able to get a process in place to allow engineers to implement small key features for developers, to maintain the platform always ahead innovation wise. In about 2 years, more than 50 key features were added to the Flash Runtime keeping Flash ahead of the industry.
