I joined NxtWave before it launched. During the pre-launch phase at iB Hubs, I was part of the core team involved in planning and building what would become NxtWave — while still completing my B.Tech. When NxtWave went live in December 2020, I was there from Day 1 as part of the founding placement team. What followed was 6 years of building — as part of a close team —the placement function that has now placed 13,000+ students in roles across 2,300+ companies including TCS, Deloitte, Cognizant, IBM, Capgemini, Wipro, EY, and LTIMindtree. Within that team, here is what I personally owned and built: CANDIDATE OPERATIONS Designed and owned the end-to-end candidate journey —expectation setting, job portal infrastructure, application management, company-specific training, student-job matchmaking, and offer tracking. Moved candidate-facing operations from fully manual to structured and technology-enabled, working closely with product and data teams. TEAM LEADERSHIP Built the placement operations team from the ground up. Currently lead a 15-person team. Set performance frameworks, workflows, and accountability structures. Mentored team members across placement operations functions. CANDIDATE OUTCOMES Personally drove 3,000+ student placements across 5 years. Designed and delivered company-specific training programs. Built candidate readiness frameworks and pre-placement programs at batch scale. Conducted mega offline placement drives and multi-college hiring events. DATA & ANALYTICS Own end-to-end data tracking for the placement function — pipeline visibility, conversion tracking, and outcome reporting. Used data to identify gaps in candidate readiness and improve process efficiency across placement cycles. What 6 years of this work has taught me: Placement outcomes at scale are never one person's achievement. They are built by the right team, with the right process, and an obsessive focus on the candidate in front of you. I have had the privilege of building both — the team and the process —from the very beginning.
