About

I’m a product leader with 20+ years of experience across both B2B and B2C, driven by curiosity and a lifelong dedication to personal and intellectual growth. I’m naturally drawn to analytically challenging, quantitative problems and thrive in complex domains - AI for recommendations, anomaly detection and forecasting, supply chain optimization, or shaping pricing and marketplace dynamics. As a leader who has managed large, multi-disciplinary teams, I love mentoring and growing careers just as much as I love building durable businesses. My goal is always to create environments where both products and people can thrive.

Stripe

Product Lead

Jun 2025Present · 10 mos · Seattle, Washington, United States

  • I lead a team of PMs responsible for core settlement and cost management in Stripe's Cards business. My team is responsible for building systems that handle $1+ trillion of card transactions per year, ensuring the card networks, issuing banks, merchants and Stripe are all getting paid appropriately.
  • In effect, my team owns Stripe's margin on Cards as the north star. To deliver on this north star, we manage following workstreams:
  • Network Costs: Leveraging AI (LLMs and traditional ML) to optimize network fees, minimizing operational toil and making decisions on where to pass on those fees to users vs. owning them on Stripe's P&L.
  • Pricing: Observing pricing and margins on Cards business worldwide, identifying opportunities and driving pricing changes.
  • Cost Explainability: Delivering dashboards, reports and insights in Stripe's Cost+ product to help our users understand and minimize costs they bear. Leverages LLMs, and advanced ML attribution models.
  • Come join us to grow the GDP of the Internet. We are hiring!

Research Assistant

  • I was working on AI/ML before it was a buzzword. Back in 2002-03, working at Institute of Natural Language Processing at IIT-Bombay as a project trainee, my team designed and implemented a self-learning algorithm to parse and convert sentences in Marathi into a semantic tree representation called Universal Networking Language, which can be then translated into any language by de-translators.
  • Ours was the first self-learning algorithm in this space. We documented our unique approach in a paper: “Computational approach to handle Noun Morphology as a part of Marathi to UNL Enconversion” that was submitted to International Conference on Natural language processing – 2003.
