About

Through independent product research, I've worked on early-stage product experiences — specifically how users reach their first moment of value. Across many products, the biggest driver of early churn is not missing features. It is delayed value realization caused by cognitive overload, unclear onboarding, and fragmented workflows. My work explores how simplifying decision paths, reducing cognitive load, and aligning workflows with user intent can accelerate activation, retention, and product adoption. I have conducted a consolidated product case study analyzing early-stage user behavior across multiple platforms including Xender, Udemy, Google Slides, and LinkedIn. The work focused on: • Diagnosing early-stage churn through user psychology and workflow analysis • Redesigning onboarding flows to reduce cognitive load • Improving time-to-Aha through clearer value paths • Defining metrics frameworks for activation and retention Across these case studies, several consistent product principles emerged: • Time-to-Aha often matters more than feature richness • Onboarding should deliver value, not just teach the interface • Personalization reduces decision fatigue faster than feature expansion • Navigation problems often reflect deeper positioning issues I enjoy working in async product environments where clear writing, structured thinking, and disciplined prioritization matter. I regularly analyze consumer and professional products through teardown-style product case studies focused on activation, retention, and user experience clarity.
