I have built some of the UK’s largest & most impactful in-house design teams, delivering world-class customer experiences that have unlocked hundreds of millions in business value. With over 25 years in digital design, I’ve led at the highest levels across globally recognised brands. I’ve been the first Design Director at two FTSE100 giants (Centrica/British Gas [£20Bn rev] & BT/EE [£20Bn rev]) and now serve as Director of Digital Customer Experience at Sky [£10Bn rev] (Comcast NBCUniversal - Nasdaq), where I lead digital design across products used by millions daily. I specialise in building and scaling user-centred teams across 7 design disciplines: Product Design, Content Design, User Research, Service Design, Accessibility, SEO and Design Ops. At BT/EE I grew one of the UK’s most advanced in-house design organisations, embedding design into product & propositions strategy through a deep understanding of real customer needs. I’ve led teams of up to 240 people, delivered £60M–£0.3B transformation programmes and improved e-commerce and service conversion by up to 270%.   • Oversaw a complete redesign and re-platforming of the new EE app (via Google Flutter for iOS & Android) achieving 3.2M MAU, a 93% login success rate (up from 79%), an App Store rating of 4.6 and a DCSAT score of 4.1 (up from 2.9).
  • Launched the new EE flagship brand, working closely with agencies to rethink brand strategy & visual identity, achieving some key brand and behavioural metrics like 50% uplift in traffic to broadband pages, 4% increase in digital channel shift and 2.4% decrease in calls to the contact centre.
  • Redesigned e-commerce and financing journeys, driving app sales mix to 36.3% (from 19.6%), 270% YoY iPhone order growth, & achieved 120% conversion uplift in checkout journeys, while launching a new digital Shop hub (from 0 to 1M MAU) that drove new market cross-sell opportunities.
  • Boosted accessibility metrics from 25% to 81% & won 4 industry awards for innovation and research.
  • Scaled the Loop design system across web&app, achieving 65% live code adoption and improving design/dev efficiency by 35%.
  • Accountable for an annual £16M design team budget as part of a £300M digital transformation of a £10B annual digital revenue unit.
