Currently working as a people manager within Meta. My team and I are focused on hiring principal and staff level software engineers. I also work on sourcing strategy across the international locations in Meta to encourage a higher quality, candidate focused approach.   • I am currently managing a team of 11 geographically distributed sourcers.
  • I grew the team from 3 sourcers initially to 11 within 3 months.

  • Initiatives:
  • Recently I drove a large shift where we pivoted over 100 sourcers and recruiters towards principal engineering hiring to help with increased business demand.
  • Working closely with engineering stakeholders to ensure accurate and realistic expectations of candidates, profiles and volumes.
  • Within this I designed the structure of their training, goals and put in place limiters to ensure that we worked within the interview capacity that I was simultaneously increasing. By the end of the 10 week period we were on pace to achieve our goal when hiring was frozen.
  • Working with Programme Management teams and engineers to drive the adoption of different interviewing techniques, and monitoring and growing the pool of interviewers.
  • Focusing on calibration of interviewers and developing and implementing different techniques to ensure that the interviewers were consistent.
  • Developing others:
  • A large part of my role is assisting the development of other leads and managers across worldwide locations including the US, Tel Aviv and across Europe. Helping them identify opportunities to influence larger elements of strategy and also how to better support their teams.
  • Creating opportunities for others through my knowledge of the problems and solutions that are required. Ensuring that they have the scope for growth whilst also having support, if required.
