• In my first four months as Engineering Manager in Delivery and Services at IKEA, I led a team of engineers to deliver an application that enabled the management, configuration, and monitoring of In-Store Lockers, enabling our stores to remain in operation during the peak of lockdowns, without the need for person-to-person interaction. This was a critical initiative for the company as it allowed us to continue to serve our customers while prioritizing their safety and well-being.
• I was also responsible for building and leading a team, managing costs, and ensuring the continuity of day-to-day operations through the implementation of DevOps practices. During my tenure, I successfully grew the team from 0 to 10 members, organized into 2 small micro-product teams, and initiated various initiatives to improve the team's efficiency and capabilities, such as the implementation of an On-Call scheme and integration with a new alerting platform.

My goal was to empower them to be as effective and efficient as possible by providing training on agile best practices, DevOps, and how to leverage data to drive success.
• To further support team autonomy, I developed a cutting-edge solution to track team performance KPIs using NodeJS, Jira, and Power BI.
• Additionally, I worked closely with senior management and executives to develop an internal tool that tracks service KPIs for every team at DAZN.
• This role was particularly important and exciting as it came at a time when DAZN was expanding from 7 countries to a global scale, an exciting time for the company.

The migration of the procurement system to a cloud solution, in partnership with KPMG and the SaaS provider, continued after my tenure ended.

This project resulted in a significant reduction of the E stage of ETL from 50+ jobs to 1 and the copy stage for the reporting database from 200+ to 1, resulting in cost savings for the company.
• I also played a key role in the migration of the DWH from a MySQL instance to AWS Redshift.
• Additionally, I had the opportunity to deliver a keynote speech at the Bestseller Tech Event, discussing the evolution of technology from 1984 to 2018.

This project was a crucial undertaking for the company.

This project required a high level of technical expertise and project management skills, and I was able to successfully deliver it on time and within budget.

• Additionally, I designed and developed a DWH solution to support over 10 different teams of the Portuguese electricity company (Oracle & Powercenter). This required a deep understanding of the company's data needs and the ability to design a system that could effectively support multiple teams and their unique requirements. Through my efforts, the DWH solution was able to meet the needs of the company and help them to better manage and utilize their data.

In this role, I developed a solution that significantly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's quality check process by reducing the effort required to record findings and work by a factor of 10. This resulted in an increase in the number of quality checks that could be performed, and reduced the potential for human error. This solution helped to ensure that the data was of high quality and met the needs of the company.
